My old MoyoGo blog:
My registered Trademarks
I am a software developer, inventor and technology startup founder. From 1992 to 2000 I was a mostly homeless/broke hobo and one of the things I did to make a living was taking tourists under water.
Currently, I work on building Artificial General Intelligence. This machine I built in an airconditioned room in my house has 250 TB in several RAID6'es, 2 TB RAM and 64 true EPYC cores. Due to the cold and noise, I remote into it from my electronics lab or from any other place in the world.
Moyo Go Studio (download link) is my infamous Go 'AI' (Machine Learning) project that I used to sell as shrinkwrapped software in the early noughties. It can do SQL queries, audio commentary inside standard SGF, playing against the computer, game annotation, pattern-based search, PDF publishing etc. Because ML requires as much data as possible and
because Go game records can't be Copyrighted, I harvested a small percentage of them from competing products. My competitors called me a big criminal and managed to get me "disappeared" from the computer Go world. I could not advertize, I could not sponsor tournaments, I could not use retailers
and no one wanted to link to me. My hosting was shut down for "Copyright violations". My Google ads were clickfrauded.
Microsoft Cambridge, in 2005, reverse-engineered my (previously explained on my blog) Baysian-learning algorithm and they wrote about that in this publication, where they falsely claimed they 'took Mr. de Groot's work to a whole new level' but admitted that their results were inferior to mine. Because they did not implement my complete algorithm. In 2009, Google wanted me to visit them to discuss job opportunities.
I finance my AGI R&D with the money I made with a scar treatment device I invented, the DERMINATOR. I produced the first few hundred machines myself in my lab. The machine is a great success.
